Suze burned with an insatiable curiosity. In the ’80s, she took a class in Swahili just to decipher the meaning of the Swahili chant in Lionel Ritchie’s “All Night Long”: Tam bo li de say de moi ya/ Yeah, Jambo, Jambo/ Way to parti, o we goin’/Oh, jambali.
