Battlestar Eclectic

Sarah Torribio and her right brain. Music. Musings. Writing. Style.

Amazing. I love the simplicity of the lines lovely duotone palette of pagoda-red and baby blue, the vivid combo tamed by the shadows as well as the use of lines so dark and prominent as to affect fauvism or an anime aesthetic. The soft piles of snow and the departing man, fortified against the snow by an umbrella, tell us the future. In a moment, that courtyard will be deliciously empty and silent.

The viewer enjoys the moment too, quieting the chattering mind by letting their eyes rest in the blue-tinted snow.
