Song of the Day: “Now or Never” by Saltwater Sun

I’m currently fangirling over Saltwater Sun. “Now or Never,” off the band’s 2016 album of the same name, is one of the hardest-rocking songs I’ve heard in some time. The lyrics are great (spoiler alert, there’s an F-bomb in the song).

The guitars are a buzzy and chugging assault and the song benefits from the kind of LoudQuietLoud dynamics that make a song galvanizing.

Lead singer Jen Stearnes has a voice that’s both powerful and adorable. Imagine Siouxsie Sioux as a pouty child and you’ve got the idea.

The band’s from Readdng in Berkshire, England and was formed in 2013, if you go in for trivia.
