Song of the Day: ‘Shimmer’ by Fuel

he pathos of post-grunge hits different. Brett Scallions of Fuel, he of the golden-dyed hair, isn’t mad. He’s just deeply disappointed.

The lyrics of “Shimmer” are very good. No one else has described heartbreak and angst so succinctly. He’s not depressed. You’ve just caught him when he is “low, feeling short of stable.”
