Battlestar Eclectic

Sarah Torribio and her right brain. Music. Musings. Writing. Style.

I’ve caught myself being happy the last three days. Like a really uncomplicated kind of happy.

I have watched “Wild Robot” with my kids.

I have gardened barefoot.

I have talked to friends on the telephone.

I have enjoyed being educated by my daughter, 11, who is now introducing me to The Voidz, a side project by Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas. (We regularly have singalongs with my daughter, aka DJ Shadowdragon, and me, DJ Ladytown, pulling up our favorite rock songs.)

I have mixed up a glass of strawberry milk, transporting me to my childhood and en-pinkening my drink. What burden have I dropped? Why this renaissance of cheer?
