Song of the Day: ‘Somebody’s Crying’ by Chris Isaak

I adore “”Somebody’s crying” off the 1994 Chris Isaak album Forever Blue. Romance and nostalgia are recorded faithfully by Isaak’s whispering, keening, yodeling vibrato. It’s a wonderful piece of song-craft with arpeggios so dreamy I want to cry into my pillow.

In fact, the entire album has the most beautiful sun-drenched, Sun Records sound.
