Wow! An alt-country song by Beck. I’m a bit late to the party given this is off Beck’s 2002 album Sea Change.
I’m reminded of how The Rolling Stones struck out with their country-western hits “Wild Horses” and “Honkeytonk Women.”

This is so slow and atmospheric. You’re not galloping across the desert, from high noon–to steal a line from Owen Wilson’s character in “The Royal Tenenbaums”–to the friscillating dusk. You’re strolling.
P.S. I just realized I started this little song review with the exclamation Wow! And then I recalled that there is a very good Beck song, off his album Colors, called “Wow!”
