My song of the day is “You Are Loved Eternally” by Jenny O. I know. Comparisons can be odious, but they are also often useful. I’d characterize this tune as the Primitives meets Ravi Shankar-inspired George Harrison. It’s sure to open your heart chakra with a crowbar.
This mantra, “You are loved eternally,” has never been more needed. Despite the spiritual message, this is no cheesy New Age song marked by platitudes and flute, though I like me some of that.
Instead, it’s a great little gem of a pop rock song that cleanses the palate like a sorbet in this time of global uncertainty and unrest.
My pal wikipedia tells me that Jenny O., who has a voice as sweet and smooth as creme brule, is a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles. She has a new album, “Spectra,” coming out on February 24.
