Are you familiar with the band The Glove? The lineup included Robert Smith of The Cure and Steven Severin of Siouxsie and the Banshees fame. It was strange and dazzling and pretty. When I was in high school, knowing about this obscure and short-lasting project made me feel like I had an ultra-cool secret. That was pretty much how all music I loved felt for me.
Blue Sunshine was a strain of acid in the late ’60s which, it was rumored, you would take and think you were fine, just jolly. Later you would snap and do something you never normally would, like commit a heinous murder. I believe it was made into a movie.
Luckily for me, the only experience I had with Blue Sunshine was that it was the name of this short-lived collaboration between members of two legendary alt-rock/dark-wave/goth/romantic bands. (Sorry about the poly hyphenate description. Genres confuse me)
